'Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology' Wins Largest Tender in Jordan's Hardware Industry
AMMAN - In an achievement that reflects the development of Jordan's technological industry and its ability to compete globally in the digital education sector, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), announced that it has been awarded the largest tender in the history of Jordan's hardware industry to serve educational purposes. This marks an important milestone in the company's journey, following three years of investment in building its industrial and technological capabilities, while enduring operational and investment costs exceeding $22 million.
This accomplishment comes as part of official efforts aimed at localizing the digital industry in Jordan, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, to keep pace with technological developments, enhance reliance on national capabilities, and develop value-added industries to support the national economy, in addition to opening new horizons for Jordanian products in local and regional markets.
On this occasion, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD founder and chairman, asserted that localizing technology in Jordan is not just an option; rather it is a strategic necessity for building a robust and competitive national economy. He stressed that countries wishing to shape their future must produce technology themselves rather than just consume its tools.
It is worth mentioning that TAGTech's high-spec products bear the Jordanian Certificate of Origin and the "Made in Jordan" label, reflecting TAGTech's commitment to developing technological products tailored to the local market and strengthening the position and competitiveness of national industry in the digital hardware sector.
